United Appliances USA Warranty Policies

Carefully read the maintenance and installation manual and put into practice the recommendations for use, this will make your product work properly. 

Attention. United appliances validate the warranty to Systems installed by contractors who are licensed to install HVAC under applicable state and local law, and who install systems in accordance with 1- All applicable building codes and permits: 2- The installation and operating instructions of United Appliances USA and 3- B Subject to the terms and conditions of this system warranty statement.

 "System" means the condenser and evaporator purchased on or after June 1, 2023 through a licensed HVAC installation contractor, authorized distributor or at our locations in the United States.

Before taking advantage of our warranty please read carefully and understand the terms and conditions of a valid claim. All warranty repair requests must be submitted through the authorized installer contractor and dealer.

Please note: United Appliances USA reserves the right to change warranty terms and conditions without notice, all products purchased prior to the date of the policy modification will be under the pre-change terms.


1. To obtain warranty service

1.1 Contact the licensed contractor who installed the System, authorized dealer or licensed dealer with us via email customerservices@unitedappliances.com, telephone 800-000-0000 to review any defects within the applicable warranty period.
1.2 All parts have a coverage of 5 years in parts and 7 years in compressor, to validate the coverage sand requires registering your equipment at www.unitedappliances.com/register ofequipment where you will be asked for evidence of the date of installation by a licensed contractor, present the sales receipt, building permit or other document establishing proof and date of installation. In the absence of acceptable evidence, this Limited Warranty shall be deemed to commence one hundred twenty (120) days after the date of manufacture stamped on the System.
1.3 This Limited Warranty applies only to systemspurchased on or after June 1, 2023, only as long as the system remains at the site of the original installation and has been installed within the United States.

 

2. Warranty Policy

2.1 This warranty applies only to United Appliances products purchased at a branch, through an authorized distributor or by E commerce within the United States.
2.2 The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred to anyone.
2.3 To exercise the rights under this warranty, Buyer must present the original invoice, or a clear photocopy of the original invoice issued by United Appliances, the licensed contractor or distributor at the time of purchase. 
2.4 This warranty covers: component failures due to manufacturer defects.
2.5 When the equipment presents a fault, it is necessary to contact the contractor or authorized distributor to schedule a technical visit. In the visit it will be determined if it is change of components, repair or physical change of the unit, the resolution of the problem can last a maximum of 40 business days and you must have the availability of the client and the licensed contractor to make the visit, in case the 40 days pass and the client cannot receive the contractor, They will automatically renew 40 more days.
2.6 Damaged components will be repaired or replaced at United Appliances' discretion.
2.7 The replacement components must have a performance equal to or greater than that of the reported product.
2.8 United Appliances will choose the shipping method, pay the one-way shipping costs of the repaired or replacement parts. 

 

Attention: These limited warranties do NOT include labor or any other costs incurred for service, maintenance, repair, removal, replacement, installation, compliance with local building and electrical codes, shipping or handling, or replacement of the System, compressors or any other parts. Items that are designed to be replaced, the original owner is solely responsible for all labor and other costs of maintenance, installation, replacement, disconnection or disassembly of the System and parts (such as filters or belts) in connection with the owner's maintenance requirements. Air filter cleaning and/or replacement of each applicable indoor unit and maintenance are the responsibility of the owner.


3. Causes of cancellation of warranties

3.1 When the product has been used in abnormal conditions, improper installation, due to weather problems, problems due to animals or pests, natural disasters, electrical problems due to inadequate electrical installation, blows to its structure, natural deterioration of the product.
3.2 Lack of maintenance, the buyer shall comply with regular preventive maintenance, at least twice a year and as described in the owner's manual, which includes, cleaning and disinfection of the system, semi-annual visual inspections and operational tests to be performed by a licensed HVAC Contractor. Note: It is necessary to have evidence of maintenance.
3.3 United Appliances products received through promotions, contests, giveaways or sponsorships are not covered by any warranty.
3.4 United Appliances purchased from anyone other than United Appliances, a licensed contractor or an authorized distributor are not covered by any warranty. 
3.5 Any inefficient operation due to utility failures, affecting parts and operation is not covered by this warranty.
3.6 Units that are installed outside the United States are not covered by this warranty.
3.7 Improper operating conditions, repairs, use of parts, or modifications that are outside of what is marked in the manual and has not been approved by United Appliances, does not cover warranty.
3.8 Defects caused by accidents, power failures, including brownouts or surges, frozen or broken pipes, acts of nature, negligence, immersion, or exposure to liquid, through inadequate ventilation or other conditions or acts beyond the control of United Appliances.
3.9 Damage caused by corrosive environments or around the installation site
3.10 Filing a warranty claim if you have evidence, will not proceed until the evidence is delivered.


4. Return and exchange:

In the event of a nonconformity with the unit, with damage, and no support or remedy from United Appliances, the licensed contractor, and the authorized distributor, the customer will have 30 days after the date of purchase to return the product.

4.1 United appliances will verify and inspect the equipment to determine that it has not been installed and that it is in optimal condition, in case of damage United Appliances will determine if it is a manufacturing defect or mishandling of the product.
4.2 Any product returned to United Appliances that has not been approved by United Appliances for return cannot be applied for exchange or return. 
4.3 With respect to defective parts, it will be determined at the sole discretion of United Appliances whether such parts will be repaired or replaced.
4.4 United Appliances shall have no liability for product returned with damage as a result of improper packaging, damage caused in transit, or improper handling by carrier or parcel.
4.5 Thepurchaser shall pay, without refund, all shipping and handling charges to return the products to the facility designated by United Appliances.

 

5. Conditions 

1.1. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ALSO EXCLUDES: (A) SERVICE CALLS WHEN NO SYSTEM DEFECT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY IS FOUND: (b) system installation or configuration; (c) Adjustments to user controls; (d) Systems purchased or installed outside the United States (e) Systems purchased or installed prior to May 30, 2023.
1.2. EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, UNITED APPLIANCES MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND WITH RESPECT TO THE SYSTEM. UNITED APPLIANCES DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ALL WARRANTIES NOT EXPRESSLY PROVIDED HEREIN AND ALL REMEDIES NOT FOR THIS PROVISION THAT MAY ARISE BY IMPLICATION OR OPERATION OF LAW, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS, AND FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. NO ONE IS AUTHORIZED TO CHANGE THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IN ANY RESPECT OR CREATE ANY OTHER OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY FOR UNITED APPLIANCES IN CONNECTION WITH UNITED APPLIANCES EQUIPMENT, DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR THE ACTS, OMISSIONS AND CONDUCT OF ALL THIRD PARTIES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE INSTALLATION CONTRACTOR) IN CONNECTION WITH OR RELATED TO THE SYSTEM.
1.3.UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL UNITED APPLIANCES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOSS OF REVENUE OR PROFITS, WORK STOPPAGE, SYSTEM FAILURE, DETERIORATION OF OTHER PROPERTY, COSTS OF SYSTEM REMOVAL AND REINSTALLATION, LOSS OF USE, INJURY TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SYSTEM, WHETHER FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF UNITED APPLIANCES HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE. IN NO EVENT SHALL UNITED APPLIANCES' LIABILITY EXCEED THE ACTUAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE SYSTEM IN RESPECT OF WHICH ANY CLAIM IS MADE.
1.4. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS OF WARRANTIES OR EXCLUSIONS OR LIMITATIONS OF DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY.
1.5. DISPUTE RESOLUTION. For any dispute with United Appliances, you agree to first contact us by phone at (800-000-0000) or email (customerservices@unitedappliances.com), filling out the report in www.unitedappliancesusa.com/warrantyreports where you will be asked for your name, address and contact information and describe the nature of the problem or by going directly to the branch address to resolve your disagreement with us informally. In the unlikely event that United Appliances USA agrees to resolve any claim, dispute or controversy arising in connection with or relating to this Limited Warranty report within 40 days after the date of its initial report, breach or alleged breach thereof (collectively, "Claims"), by binding arbitration before an arbitrator of Judicial Mediation and Arbitration Services ("JAMS") located at Address of the arbitrator. you may be contacted at www.jamsadr.com and will require you to pay an initial filing fee set by JAMS (unless you successfully apply for a waiver of this JAMS fee). All other JAMS costs associated with the arbitration shall be borne by United Appliances. The arbitration will take place in San Diego County, unless you request an in-person hearing where you live, or if you and United Appliances agree otherwise. If the arbitrator decides in your favor, the award may include your arbitration costs, your reasonable attorneys' fees, and your costs to any expert. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. If the arbitrator renders an award in your favor greater than the last offer made by United Appliances, United Appliances will pay you the judgment or $500, plus your attorneys' fees, if any. Any judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any jurisdiction jurisdiction. You can sue under state law in small claims court of competent jurisdiction without first participating in arbitration, but you must participate in arbitration before suing under the federal Magnuson-Moss Act.
1.6. All claims must be brought in the parties' individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding. This waiver applies to class arbitration unless such arbitration is necessary to effect enforcement of the class action waiver or if class arbitration is expressly agreed to by United Appliances. You agree that you and United Appliances are each waiving the right to a trial by jury or to participate in a class action.
1.7. You may opt out of the arbitration and class action/jury trial waiver provision of this Limited Warranty above by notifying United Appliances in writing within 30 days of purchase. Such written notice must be sent with attention to United Appliances: branch address, and must include (1) your name, (2) your address, (3) the serial number of your guaranteed product, and (4) a clear statement that you do not wish to resolve disputes through arbitration and demonstrate compliance with the 30-day time limit to opt out.
1.8. If any provision hereof is determined to be illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed from this Limited Warranty and the remainder of the Limited Warranty shall be in full force and effect. As noted above, if a class action waiver of both court and arbitration class action is deemed unenforceable, class arbitration will be expressly permitted under the Securities Restriction Act.
1.9. California residents do not need to register the product to obtain all rights and remedies of the original owners registered under this warranty.
1.10. This Limited Warranty gives the original owner specific legal rights and the original owner may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
1.11. This limited warranty is valid only in the United States and is not transferable.
